我們知道conversation大體可以分成2類:1. Service Encounter(一般是學(xué)生和學(xué)校工作人員之間的對(duì)話)2. Office Hour(一般是學(xué)生和教授之間的對(duì)話)
但不管是哪一類,學(xué)生都是有了問題去找對(duì)方的,那么我們首先要聽明白學(xué)生的問題是什么,學(xué)生的問題一般都是由一些信號(hào)詞引出來的:I was wondering/I was thinking/My problem is/Here is my question,等等,下面我們來看一個(gè)實(shí)例(TPO17-C2):

What can I do for you, John?
Student
Well, I work week nights, except for Friday. I was wondering if I could switch from working the dinner service to working at lunch.
