在多年的雅思寫(xiě)作和閱讀教學(xué)中，筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生在備考中很容易出現(xiàn)誤區(qū)：比如在做閱讀題目時(shí)，喜歡一字不差地讀句子，生怕自己因錯(cuò)過(guò)了信息而做錯(cuò)題目；在寫(xiě)作時(shí)，因?yàn)闆](méi)有思路，不會(huì)寫(xiě)相關(guān)詞匯，寫(xiě)不出完整內(nèi)容，考了幾次雅思卻總是刷不到理想分?jǐn)?shù)。
這樣不僅浪費(fèi)了自己的寶貴時(shí)間，也很容易因沒(méi)有科學(xué)有效的方法而停滯不前。其實(shí)雅思四個(gè)科目都是相輔相成的，學(xué)好寫(xiě)作脫離不了閱讀的幫助。
在引入寫(xiě)作之前，筆者先說(shuō)一下閱讀：
怎樣才能快速抓住文章的主要信息呢？主要是要?jiǎng)潨?zhǔn)關(guān)鍵詞Key Words 和做減法。
雅思閱讀中最基礎(chǔ)也是比較重要的技巧是Skimming略讀，避免精讀每一個(gè)單詞。
要將很長(zhǎng)的復(fù)合句劃分成較短、較簡(jiǎn)單的結(jié)構(gòu)成分。
提高閱讀速度的方法之一是：搜索句子的主干結(jié)構(gòu)，即主謂賓，關(guān)系從句和表語(yǔ)從句通?？陕赃^(guò)。
舉個(gè)栗子：
In the past, land scoured away from the coastline by the currents of the Mediterranean Sea used to be replaced by sediment brought down to the delta by the River Nile.
這是劍橋真題里的一篇文章，上過(guò)雅思課的學(xué)生應(yīng)該對(duì)這篇尼羅河的文章很熟悉。文中摻雜了相關(guān)的專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯，比如 currents ,Mediterranean Sea, sediment ,delta ,River Nile。對(duì)于初步了解雅思并且單詞量不高的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，要快速讀懂這句話，這無(wú)疑是比較痛苦的。
那我們來(lái)引用前文提到的減法練習(xí)一下：
Land scoured away from the coastline by the currents of the Mediterranean Sea used to be replaced by sediment brought down to the delta by the River Nile.
抓住主謂賓主體結(jié)構(gòu)，去掉修飾成分，這句話成為"land used to be replaced by sediment "

使用剛才的化簡(jiǎn)句子：

土地經(jīng)常被沉積物填補(bǔ)。
在真實(shí)雅思寫(xiě)作考場(chǎng)上，寫(xiě)這樣的句子難免會(huì)讓考官感到疑惑，什么樣的土地？誰(shuí)的沉積物，為什么要被補(bǔ)充？
我們來(lái)看一下真實(shí)的原文：
Land scoured away from the coastline by the currents of the Mediterranean Sea （后置定語(yǔ)，由地中海沿岸洋流沖刷的 used to be replaced by sediment brought down to the delta by the River Nile. （后置定語(yǔ)，由尼羅河帶到三角洲的）
文章在主語(yǔ)和賓語(yǔ)后面都加入了后置定語(yǔ)，讓這句話的語(yǔ)義更完整，思路更清晰。我們?cè)趯?xiě)作的時(shí)候盡量把內(nèi)容前后和因果關(guān)系寫(xiě)具體，富有邏輯，這樣段落內(nèi)容才完整，整個(gè)篇目也就更連貫。

英文該怎樣拓展？
