《絕望的主婦》這部劇中四位女主角分別代表了四種迥然不同的主婦形象：離婚主婦Susan、完美主婦Bree、女強(qiáng)人主婦Lynette、漂亮主婦Gabrielle，每個(gè)人都試圖讓自己在鄰居們面前顯得更幸福、更體面，她們的生活看上去完美無(wú)缺，但每個(gè)人心里都默默藏著不可告人的秘密。

一、主演發(fā)音地道、日常用語(yǔ)豐富
這部美劇以日常生活為主線，地道用語(yǔ)十分豐富，主演的發(fā)音絕大多都是Standard American English，尤其是五個(gè)主婦的發(fā)音。經(jīng)常的模擬練習(xí)和反復(fù)的觀看收聽，可以很好的鍛煉和提高聽力、口語(yǔ)水平，糾正大家在斷句和發(fā)音上存在的問(wèn)題，擴(kuò)大詞匯量。

三、情節(jié)蘊(yùn)含哲思、妙語(yǔ)層出不窮
看過(guò)這部劇的寶寶們應(yīng)該都注意到了，每集的開頭、結(jié)尾，包括中間的劇情都適時(shí)插入了"畫外音"Narrator的闡釋，這些闡釋所用到的語(yǔ)句和詞匯都非常值得我們耐心琢磨和仔細(xì)品讀。如果能很好地吸收并歸為已用，大家今后的寫作和演講會(huì)大放光彩。
